1)      Intro

2)      Project planning

e.g.

1.        Aim: Who will benefit? Through doing what?

2.       Method: What does the project involve? Over what time period?

3.       Resources: How many people would be needed? Would funding be needed (e.g. Transport, materials etc.) ?

4.       Results: How would we tell if the project was successful?

Some great ideas came through. Great work everyone!

3)      Induction

-          Inorder to be inducted you need to do at least 2 events in a semester.Next induction will be towards the end of semester 2 2010

-          Polio Fun Run

·         25/7at 10am. Starting at the Fountain at Mission Bay. Good luck those whoare taking part. If you are not running on the day but have some freetime, it would be nice to show our support not only for the Rotaractorsrunning but for the cause.

-          Dr. Sujit Brahmochary’s Presentation

·         the founder and director of an NGO based in Kolkata, India, called the Institute for the Indian Mother & Child (IIMC)

-          Auckland's  10/10/10 Global Work Party special screening of the movie ‘Carving the Future’

·         Wednesday 28th July

·         7:15pm for a 7:30pm start, 8:45pm finish.

·         Garden room, Grey Lynn Community Centre, 510 Richmond Rd, Grey Lynn, Auckland

·         Free entry

·         10th October  2010when Aucklanders and citizens around the world will be showing we areready for climate solutions through actions in our community.

·         Wewill be watching the inspirational film ‘Carving the future’ [25 mins]There will then be the opportunity to share and explore ideas for localaction for the 10/10/10 Global Work Party (for more info see www.350.org).

-          Motutapu Tree Planting Weekend

·         Saturday 31st July – Sunday 1st August

·         Leave downtown on 9:15am ferry (SAT)

·         Spend rest of Saturday looking around Rangitoto and Motutapu

·         Stay the night in cabins on Motutapu

·         Spend Sunday planting trees on Motutapu

·         Return to town on 4:30pm ferry (SUN)

·         Partially subsidised by club
